Hospital Bag Prep...

Soo exciting !!

So today I decided to pack my hospital bag after finally getting everything that I need over the past few days. To say it's been an eye opener is an understatement! Before now, I literally had nothing other than the gorgeous socks and dummy my brother and his girlfriend got me at Christmas for him. So now I'm prepared incase I have to go in to hospital at any point, he has his coming home outfit and I have all my stuff at the ready. It honestly makes it all seem real! (As if the kicking in the ribs and bouncing on my bladder didn't hahah)

I went for a plain black weekend bag, that was big enough for everything to fit in and wasn't complicated. Just something simple, handy and reliable. I found this in Primark for £17. It fits everything in perfectly and I love it!

Here's a little list of what I packed & why. I found it soo helpful to read other blogs and see what other mums to be put in their hospital bags!

For me:
• Pjs - A nice pair to wear after I give birth and a pair that are comfy.
• Slippers - I opted for some light ones, kind of like half socks, just to keep my  feet warm and easy / comfy.
• Support Bra & Underwear - Plain black of course! I chose some big pants that are going to do their job, as after birth I will just want comfort. Same applied to the bra.
• Toiletries - Flannel, deodorant, toothbrush & toothpaste, wipes, bra pads and sanitary pads.
• Moisturiser - Nivea for my lips and Vitamin C from The Body Shop, as my skin will get dry.
• Hand Sanitizer - germs!!! Yuck, I have such a phobia of the thought of touching my little boy without clean, fresh, sanitised hands!
• A long t-shirt - This will be to give birth in, I just picked up a cheap one as after birth it'll be thrown out.

(I forgot to add some of the bits in this photo!! And both sanitary towels and bra pads are in next photo. Sorry guys)

For Baby Boy:
• Coming home outfit plus spares - All white of course! 2x baby grows, 3x vests, 3x socks, 1 hat, 1 scratch mits
• Blanket - To keep him cosy and warm, this will be used to take him home too.
• Nappies - Size 1 for a tiny baby! I packed a full pack of these.
• Cotton Wool - To do his bum and give him a little wash with.
• Bibs
• A dummy
• Baby Bath

I will be adding some little sweets, an energy drink and an outfit to come home in. Just incase when I'm in there I want something sweet (knowing me I definitely will!)

I'm nervous but excited at the same time, about this whole hospital thing. I don't know when it's going to come which makes me anxious, I hope he holds out until the proper timing! I know it'll be so hard and scary, but I'll be coming home with my beautiful little boy - totally 1000% worth it!!

First Impressions...

Nivea Men Post Shave Balm Review.

After watching soo many makeup tutorials and seeing so many people use this as a face primer, I decided to purchase and try it for myself!

This product really didn't disappoint me girls! You's all have to try it!!

There is about 4/5 different versions of this shave balm that you can get, ones for different skin types etc. I chose the cool sensitive one as I do have sensitive skin and certain products can really irritate it and make my skin red/blotchy so I figured with this one I honestly couldn't go wrong.

I found that I didn't need a lot of product at all, a little does go a long way with this. I simply put a blob, a little bigger than a pea onto my palm and rubbed in, in sections onto my face. Straight away it smells of men / a man (obvious maybe?! but it does have that man smell, this didn't bother me but for some it might). It glides on soo nicely and it's not thick but it's not really runny either so it's really nice to work with. I felt like I had nothing on my face after applying (to my instant relief as I HATE a primer that is too thick, too cakey and just sits on my face!). I left the product to seep in a little whilst I done my eye makeup and when it came to apply my foundation, I just loved this product even more. My foundation just looked a lot nicer, a lot more in place and just different in such a good way! It definitely gave that fawless appearance to my everyday makeup.

After being out all day, I came home and straight away wanted to see what my makeup looked like, how well my foundation had stayed on and whether it still looked AS good as it did in the morning when applied. When I did look, I honestly wasn't disappointed and fell even more in love with this as a primer. My foundation and face base was all still in tact, none had smudged off or ran (with the exception of my nose, as it kept running all day haha:( although not as much as when I'd used other primers before). I was soo happy, as you can imagine. I actually felt sad having to remove my makeup today, this is how much this primer made me feel good and made my makeup look good!

I'll definitely be having this as my go-to primer from now on and it'll take a lot to persuade me else where to another product. So girlies, I suggest yous invest! For just £4 from Boots or Superdrug, please PLEASE please, try it for yourselves and save yourselves a little money on over priced primers and thank me later!

24 Weeks And Counting..

6 MONTHS PREGNANT! 3 MONTHS TO GO..

So this week, there's been a lot of resting due to not having the energy to do anything. I say this but at night I'm honestly finding it so so hard to sleep, I'm awake 'til 1 in the morning and I'm up at 9 ('up' being awake yet still laying in bed, absolutely knackered ha).

Baby boy is moving much more now and it seems to be bigger movements.. Like kicking his mumma in the ribs and stretching around in there! I do love it though and I'm definitely feeling a little better about my pregnancy. I'm still shy about it in certain areas like when people ask to see my bump and go to touch it, my face smiles politely (with a slight hesitant look that people ignore) whilst inside I'm literally screaming 'Noooo! Hands off the bump!'.

This week I plan to sort my hospital bag and have that ready asap! I'll update you all on what I put in my bag and why in another post. I'm going to try see some friends, get out a little and make some sort of effort with the way I look! I just can't go on resembling someone who's been dragged through a bush backwards lol!!!
